Take criticism seriously, but not personally. If there is truth or merit in the criticism, try to learn from it. Otherwise let it roll right off you.

Governing Body Profiles

Jasmine Armstrong

I was a parent governor at Green Meadow Primary School and have subsequently joined the MAT’s school improvement committee and Excelsior’s trust board. Both of my children have attended Green Meadow Primary school and I enjoy supporting the schools within the MAT. I work as a lawyer in Birmingham and spend my free time with my family which usually involves walks and games at the local parks or cinema with friends.

Reuben Evans

I was very pleased to be made parent governor at Green Meadow School in late 2017, and I have felt privileged to work with our talented teachers, leaders and the Excelsior Trust as we strive to bring the best possible learning environment for our children.

We have seen a lot of change recently, and with my own children at the school I am very keen to meet the requirements of a governor in monitoring, questioning, and working carefully on our ambitious plans to raise the standards of education at Green Meadow.

My occupation as Operations Manager for a Risk Management Business has also come in useful, as I can use my skills as a chartered health and safety consultant to ensure our children can stay safe and healthy while at school.

I’m looking forward to the future with a mixture of optimism and excitement. With our plans now underway and with clear sight of our objectives, I believe that it will not be long before Green Meadow School will be flourishing in ways its name suggests it should.

Hayley Wadley

My name is Hayley Wadley and I have been a parent governor at Turves Green Primary School since 2018 and since 2019 I have been the Chair of Governors for the Excelsior MAT.

In 2004 I became a secondary school teacher specialising in Business Studies and Accounts. I am passionate about education and have seen first-hand how an excellent education can transform a child’s life. It is a pleasure to be part of the Governing body for Excelsior MAT and I know that we can make a positive impact on every learner’s future across all the schools.
